Neal Shipley, the only amateur to qualify for the Masters this year, has lived every guy sitting at home’s dream this past week. Shipley, a 23 year old Grad Student at The Ohio State University has been taking the internet by storm. First off, he’s participated in The Masters with his buddy from high school as his caddy. Secondly, he was paired with Tiger Woods. The greatest golfer to ever live and this college kid Neal gets to play golf with him on the biggest stage. It’s incredible.
He’s also gone viral all over the internet for the photo of him where he admitted to looking like a “dumbass” on the Pat McAfee show. Yes, he was on the Pat McAfee show. Just about any guy his age dreams about the opportunities he’s had the past week. He even got Charles Barkley to pretend like he remembered Neal complimenting his golf swing a few months back! All jokes aside, anyone hating Neal should be ashamed, especially that reporter asking him about Tiger handing him some note. He just had the time of his life and you’re going to berate him about some piece of paper? You must be a cool guy!
Neal’s got a bright future, and I hope to see him in a green jacket of his own someday. Seems like a genuine guy.
